Gerald Veasley Bass Bootcamp
http://www.geraldveasley.com/bassbootcamp/index.htm

"I can't read music. Does that mean I can't attend the Bass BootCamp?"

ANSWER: No. It isn't necessary to read music to take part in the Bass BootCamp. In fact, one of the workshops, "Conquering Your Musical Fears," is designed to help bass players become better sight readers.

"I'm a beginner. Is the Bass BootCamp suitable for me?"

ANSWER: The Bass BootCamp is very valuable for beginners. The up close and personal instruction will help beginning players receive the RIGHT information at the most important phase of their learning journey.

"I've been playing for a few years, but now I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. Can the Bass BootCamp help me?

ANSWER: Everyone reaches a plateau in their playing - a time when they feel they've stopped growing. The exposure to instructors, who have conquered their own plateaus and who are now willing to share their ideas, will jumpstart you on the path to renewed development.

"Besides the master classes and workshops, are there any other activities?"

ANSWER: The Bass BootCamp offers various activities that create a bonding experience with your fellow bassists including: Meet and Greet with the Instructors, Jam Session, Closing Ceremony Showcase, and more. Instructors are also available for private lessons during the Bass BootCamp. Also, because of our partnership with the Berk's Jazz Fest, there are opportunities to hear music by great artists.

"I have several basses. Which one should I bring?"

ANSWER: We recommend you bring the instrument you're most comfortable on. This will enable you to grasp the information without the instrument getting in the way. However, if your highest priority learning needs are specific to a particular instrument, (for example, improving your intonation on a fretless bass or playing chords on a six string bass) bring that bass.

8. "What else should I bring to the Bass BootCamp?"

ANSWER: In addition to your bass, please bring the following:
Cable, Music notebook, Tuner, Audio recorder
"Where is the Bass BootCamp being held?"

ANSWER: The Bass Bootcamp is typically held in Reading. Check the website for current location.

"I can't get away the entire weekend. Can I still participate in the Bass Bootcamp?"

ANSWER: Yes. While we do realize that some players may not be able to participate all three days of the camp, we strongly encourage you to attend the entire camp to get the most out of your Bass BootCamp experience. Please contact us for more information.
