Granada International Jazz Festival
http://www.jazzgranada.net/festivales/jazzgranada/inicial.htm

Granada International Jazz Festival, currently organized by the Regional Government of Andalusia, Granada City Council and Cervezas Alhambra, is one of the longest-standing and most important festivals in Europe and the only Spanish member of the Europe Jazz Network. Over the twenty-five years since the first Festival (1980), its history has run parallel to that of modern jazz and its main figures, both national and international, such as Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Charlie Haden, Art Blakey, Tete Montoliu, Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Chano Domínguez and many more… The presence of such stars has created an authentic jazz movement in Granada, which has borne fruit in the creation of a stable Big Band, off sessions in diverse clubs in the metropolitan area, seminars, publications, etc. that foment contact and exchange of experiences among local and foreign musicians.
